It's that time of year again!

Head aches and warm drinks abound. Yes it's here again folks. This time of year means many different things to many different people, no matter what you celebrate let's all agree it's the best time of year for family and friends.. And let's face it, it's also the best time of year to lose ones mind. I have many fond memories of this time of year and enjoy looking back at how things have changed over the years, yet when it all comes down to it ones old traditions still hold a place near and dear.

I have been working overtime on my handmade items and getting them listed, my world right now it a wirl wind of yarn, promoting and new additions.

The yarn I am up to my ears in scarves, hats, ornaments, cute dolls and more ..

Promoting well that says a lot for itself but I'll be shameless and pose a link in here too .. http://www.firesidecrochet.com/ Check out my handy work.

And then we have the new additions. Two little Guinea Pigs found themselves looking for a home for the holidays and I opened my heart and my home to these little fellows. So I enterduce you to

Peatnut and Simba (see top) ..
Well I really should get some work done today.. Happy Busy Time of Year All!

Bad Kitty

So I had worked for a few weeks on an Afghan I had planned to sell.. Well my beloved pain in the butt cat had better ideas for said Afghan. She had gotten into my office and decided it was a nice place to lay.. Seeing as it was made from caron simply soft, her nails picked it up. She looked so proud of her work too.. So long story short , what was not ment to be mine now is thanks to the handy work of my furry friend.

What did I learn?

To keep the door shut at all times!

Ok my hooks are lonely so I am out

Working on a shawl

This is my first one I have ever done.. The pattern seems pretty straight forward. I hope to get it done tonight while the man is at work.. I get my best crafting time in when I am home alone.. So if it's done tonight I'll get photos and do a update!

Things left unsaid

I closed the door today
Upon a past that seems so far away.
I looked through a steamed up window today
to gaze upon those things left undone.
I cried a tear today
thinking of words I never got to say.
I looked to the sky today..
to speak that word I wish I had.
I opened a door again today
And your memory reminded me
To always look ahead of me after all
that was the lesson of love waiting behind
that door you opened for me.

Your are still missed as if you where still here. The days are longer the nights are shorted. And I know one day I'll be able to speak those words to you again.
Jimmy Spencer you were the best step father a girl could have ever asked for.. Thanks for sharing your short life with us..

Warm Thoughts

Just wanted to take a moment to say hi, to all whom might come across my blog. I am a crocheter of 5 years now love all forms of yarn and crochet. I am also an avid World of Warcraft player, so the two hobbies always seem to battle it out for my free time..

I so a lot with crafty things from plastic canvas to beading and crocheting of course. So when I started to notice my hand made things were starting to pile up I started doing craft shows. I tend to like to do one big one a year and maybe a few small ones. This year I am doing on in Oct, and one in Dec. So right now is a very busy time for me.. I'll do what I can to keep these blogs up dated along with my twitter as well..

I hope you will enjoy your time on my blog and I hope you will enjoy the photos I put through of my things made by the fireside..
